The 18th Chaseong Cultural Festival
The nickname ‘Chaseong (車城)’ of the Chaseong Cultural Festival was given during the reign of King Seongjong of Goryeo. It was first held in October 1995 to celebrate the restoration of Gijang-gun and to promote Gijang-gun nationwide.
Since then, the Chaseong Cultural Festival has continued to be the largest cultural event in Gijang-gun, promoting Gijang’s traditional culture and promoting unity and patriotism among the people. The Chaseong Cultural Festival, which celebrates its 18th anniversary this year, offers a variety of programs that all generations can enjoy.
