But when I look closely, it says to make a reservation. I’ve never had a car inspection after making a reservation until now, but it was a bit strange, so I did a search and it said that the inspection is possible even without a reservation, but it may take a long time depending on the vehicle you have reserved.
How to schedule a car inspection

To reserve a car inspection, you can make a reservation at the Cyber Inspection Office of the Korea Transportation Safety Authority. When you go to the Cyber Inspection Center website, you can click on the car when the car inspection reservation screen appears as shown in the picture above.
Then, as shown in the picture above, enter the vehicle number and the first 6 digits of the owner’s social security number and click Vehicle Search.
The type of car inspection, audit period, self-gun, etc. are displayed. You must enter the mobile phone number of the person who wants to make a reservation to send a text message upon completion of the reservation. You can select the desired date by clicking Next after checking I agree to the collection and use of personal information. 자동차 검사 예약
If you select a desired date and click on it, two inspection centers near your address and two inspection centers by region will appear.

As for the regional inspection station, the automobile inspection station in each region will appear. If you select the desired location here, the number of available reservations and the reservation time will be displayed.
If the desired time is not available, you can go back to the calendar selection and select the date again. If the desired date and time is also available, you can select it.
If you select it, as shown in the picture below, you will see that you made a reservation selection at what time, month, day, and time. However, payment is required to complete.
If you click OK, you will be taken to the place of payment.
Past Visits / Address Inspection Office
Previously visited/addressed inspection stations appear to be inspection stations that have been visited by reservation in the past. I left blank and checked the status of each private inspection station. If you click on Private Inspection Stations, you will see private inspection stations for each region.
If you select an area that is convenient for you to inspect and search, all private inspection stations in that area will appear. However, private inspection stations cannot be reserved on the website.

I’ve explained how to do it above, so I’ll give you a brief summary.

2. Click Schedule Car Inspection.
3. After entering the inspection vehicle information and the owner information, agree to the terms and conditions.
4. After checking the inspection information, select the reservation date and time.
5. Payment process. (Credit card and bankbook)
6. Reservation complete.
If you do not find the place you want, you can obtain it from a private inspection office in your address. However, the private inspection office at the address is not reserved on the website, so you will have to make an inquiry by phone before visiting. I just conveniently used a private inspection station close to the company.

Vehicle inspection fees vary by vehicle type, and the fees for periodic and comprehensive inspections are also different. This price includes VAT, and if you do not pass the inspection and have to undergo a re-inspection, the inspection within the re-inspection period is exempt.

As shown in the table above, there are fee reduction targets. Please note that 15% ~ 100% reduction is available.
What if I don’t get a car inspection?
Vehicle inspection is divided into periodic inspection and comprehensive inspection, both of which must be inspected within 31 days before and after the inspection expiration date according to the Vehicle Management Act. For example, if the expiry date is January 15, 2022, you can take the test from December 15, 2021 to February 15, 2022.
If you do not take the test, a fine of 20,000 won will be added within 30 days from the expiration of the period.
