What internet mail are you using? It seems that I usually use Naver or Gmail a lot. In my case, I am still using Gmail. There are times when you want to remove Gmail or empty it cleanly while using it, or you need to organize it due to a capacity problem.
In this post, we are going to learn how to back up Gmail before deleting all of it.
If you need to delete Gmail, make a full backup so you can find it later when you need it, so please use it as a reference.
1. Get a backup with Gmail takeout function 지메일 백업

First, in order to receive a backup of all emails, you need to save Gmail in MBOX format at Gmail Takeout ( takeout.google.com/settings/takeout ).
You do not need any other items. After unchecking all the items, check only the mail and then scroll down and click the “Next Step” button as shown below.

If you create an export, you cannot download it right away. It will take some time to create an MBOX format for Google’s internal mail. This may vary depending on the size of the email, so please wait.
When the file creation is complete, the download link will be sent to Gmail, so you may want to do something else while the email arrives.
You will then receive an email when creation is complete as shown below.

It comes in two files. Download both. A ZIP file is a file that contains user information or other information. The file containing the actual mail is a large MBOX file.
2. How to Open MBOX File in Outlook
mbox file is a mail archive format used in Unix. Outlook, which we use a lot on Windows, cannot open mbox files directly. So, you need to convert it to a format that can be opened in Outlook. Here, we will show you two methods.
