Healthy lifestyle practice support fund (national health support fund)

The Healthy Living Practice Subsidy System is a system that provides subsidies of up to 50,000 to 60,000 won per year to citizens who practice health management on their own.

 

The purpose of the healthy living practice support system is to prevent the occurrence of serious diseases and reduce unnecessary medical expenses due to diseases, which also has the effect of saving the budget for excessive health insurance premiums.

Support details

The support details of the Healthy Living Practice Subsidy System are as follows.

Support details
Practice support fund: Accumulated when practicing healthy lifestyles such as walking and completing health management programs
Improvement support fund: Accumulated according to the degree of improvement in health indicators such as blood pressure, blood sugar, and weight
Up to 50,000 to 60,000 won per person per year, including implementation and improvement support funds.
New participants in the pilot project will receive a participation subsidy of 2,000 won.

From July 2021 to June 2024 (pilot project)

Citizens in need of health care among those aged 20 to 64 who have undergone a national health checkup hosted by the National Health Insurance Corporation
Those whose blood pressure, blood sugar, and body mass index (BMI) fall within the caution range
Health management type
Hypertension and diabetes patients enrolled in primary care chronic disease management pilot project
Healthy living practice support funds are available only to applicants among health insurance subscribers with health risk factors in the pilot area.
