Gyeonggi Province is implementing the ‘Youth Transportation Expense Support Project’, which refunds a portion of youth transportation expenses in local currency. This project aims to alleviate the burden of transportation costs on economically vulnerable youth who use public transportation frequently but are economically vulnerable, as Gyeonggi city bus and village bus fares increased last September and November. The target group is teenagers aged 13 to 23 who are registered as residents in Gyeonggi-do, and can receive a refund in local currency for a portion of transportation expenses (including Gyeonggi-do city buses, village buses, and transfers) within the annual limit of KRW 120,000. However, in order to receive a refund, you must issue and use a transportation card in your name.
Refunds will begin in July 2020 when system construction is completed, and actual transportation expenses used will be confirmed and paid retroactively from January 1 of this year.
We ask for your interest in the ‘Youth Transportation Cost Support Project’, which is expected to reduce the burden of transportation costs and contribute to revitalizing the local economy by providing refunds in local currency.
