Self-passport photo challenge: Issue a ID photo through the ‘Self-Identification’ app
I need to reissue my passport. I need an ID photo taken within the last 6 months. I was thinking about going to a photo studio, but I tried it myself.
I used an app called ‘Self-Proof’. You can take a photo and edit the size, but I used the app to pass the exact standards.
Just run the app and select your passport photo.
Information on passport photo regulations is provided, and you can take a photo right away and select it from an album. I chose a photo taken with a mirrorless camera (I recommend a camera over a cell phone if possible).
Follow the guide that appears on the screen and adjust the photo to the crown of your head and the tip of your chin. Since it is a passport photo, adjust the brightness without additional correction and select ‘Passport/Visa’ to complete the photo with a white background.
You can choose between printed photo / online file / print + file set. I chose print + file and paid 6,800 + 2,500 (shipping fee). The photo file is saved in the gallery as soon as payment is made.
And the printed photo arrived in two days.
6 neatly printed ID photos were issued safely without going to a photo studio. For those who do not have time or are lazy to go to a photo studio, I recommend the ‘Self-Identification’ app.
