신생아 취득세 감면Seosan City announced that, among the systems changed this year due to the revision of the Special Local Tax Restriction Act, it will specifically reduce acquisition tax on home purchases for families giving birth and raising children.

Those eligible for the discount are couples who gave birth to a newborn between January 1, 2024 and December 31, 2025. The condition for exemption is if a couple acquires a home for childcare within 5 years after giving birth to a child, or if the home is given birth within 1 year after acquiring the home and uses it as a home for childcare, and the home is acquired after January 1, 2024.

In addition, the house must be worth less than KRW 1.2 billion for the purpose of actually living there with the child after birth for more than 3 years, and the house must be one house per household. If all of these conditions are met, 100% of the acquisition tax is reduced up to 5 million won.

Last year, in response to the revision to expand the scope of first-time home acquisition tax reduction, the city actively promoted refunds ex officio without requiring retroactive applications to ensure that there were no disadvantages to citizens, and reduced about 1.2 billion won in first-time home acquisition tax for 721 cases.
