Why am I getting a call for a poll?
The reason my number is receiving poll calls is because my phone number has been provided to a specific political party or organization.
You may be wondering how I got my number. According to the Official Election Act, if a political party or polling organization requests a virtual number, you can provide your mobile phone number. (At this time, mobile phone numbers are randomly selected and sent based on gender, region, and age, so there is no direct exposure, so there is no problem with personal information being leaked.)
It is legal, not illegal, to send ARS calls or texts to voters by receiving a number.
Voters whose numbers have been collected can be contacted up to eight times on their mobile phones. However, if you use ARS phone promotion, the number limit is removed. So although the calls we receive are legal, they are very inconvenient.
Now, we will tell you how to completely block poll calls for each telecommunication company.
How to reject SKT poll call
Refusal phone number: 1574
Rejection application time: 9:00 AM ~ 18:00 PM (excluding weekends)
In the case of SKT telecommunications company, you can simply agree to reject calls on mobile T world.

2) Enter ‘provide number’ in the search box.

If you have any inconvenience accessing the mobile app, you can dial 1547 and follow the instructions to block calls.
How to reject LG U+ poll call
Phone number: 080-855-0016
If you use LG U+, it is faster to call the helpline number 080-855-0016 than the mobile app. When you call, follow the instructions and then agree to opt out of receiving calls.
How to block KT poll calls
Phone number: 080-999-1390
Lastly, in case of KT, you can call 080-999-1390. As with LG, if you follow the instructions, your poll call will be rejected.
