What is a worknet?
First, let’s find out what WorkNet is and whether you need to apply for unemployment benefits through WorkNet.
Worknet is a recruitment/employment search site like JobKorea, which we all know well, but has the distinction of being operated by the government (Ministry of Employment and Labor and Korea Employment Information Service).
Therefore, in order to receive employment-related benefits provided by the government, such as unemployment benefits or applying for the National Tomorrow Learning Card, you must use Worknet (the same applies to job search registration, which we will learn about today).
Worknet began its service in 1998, and has gone through major reorganization, including integration of public and private job information, and is now a site that provides various job-related services such as government-supported jobs, flexible working hours, and small and medium-sized enterprises.
Through Worknet, individuals and companies can use the following services, respectively.
Individuals (job seekers): Job-related services such as job information, job application, and employment support services
Companies: Recruitment support services such as talent information, talent information management, and e-recruitment forum
Job seekers can use vocational psychological tests and career counseling, so they are often used even when not necessarily looking for a job.

Create and register your resume
Next, register your resume.
This is the most cumbersome process in the Worknet job search registration method and procedure, but in order to register for a job, you must basically register your resume.
Since unemployment benefits can only be received through job-seeking activities, you can think of it as a basic procedure.
If you are planning to register your resume and search for a job right away, it would be a good idea to write down all the items on your resume in detail.
Otherwise, if you are registering for a job on WorkNet to apply for unemployment benefits, you can just enter the basic required information and proceed.
Resumes registered on WorkNet can be edited at any time, and up to five can be created.
When you go to My Page, you will be asked to verify your real name, so add your resident registration number and member information and even convert to a job-seeking member.
You must convert to a job search member before you can register for job search.

Occupation
If you click the completion button at the bottom of the resume creation screen, the basic preparations for registering for a job on WorkNet are complete.
Write and register self-introduction
Writing a self-introduction and registering is optional.
If you want to apply for a job or receive job placement, it will be helpful to write a self-introduction.
However, if you are just registering for a job to receive unemployment benefits, you do not need to fill it out right away.
It is okay to register for a job first and then fill it out when you are actually looking for a job.

(It doesn’t matter if you choose to make it public, but you should be aware that job application information may be disclosed to the outside world and may be included in false or formal job search activities. Therefore, if you are registering for a job in the process of receiving unemployment benefits, you can choose to make it private. It would be better.)
