Starting this year, Jeonnam-do will ease the conditions for support for wedding congratulatory money for young couples.

Until last year, if one of the couples lived in Jeonnam for more than one year before the marriage (marriage registration date), a wedding gift money was given, but from this year, if the couple lived in Jeonnam for more than six months after marriage, a wedding gift money is given.
The provincial government raised the total project cost from 8.8 billion won last year to 10 billion won this year, believing that the number of support recipients for wedding congratulatory money for young couples will increase.
Both couples must be under the age of 49 and at least one of them must be married for the first time in order to receive a wedding gift.
Qualified young couples can apply at the Administrative Welfare Center of the Si/Gun Eup/Myeon/Dong within 12 months from the day after 6 months after marriage.
The wedding congratulatory money is 2 million won per couple.
Jeonnam-do introduced a youth couple wedding congratulatory money system for the first time in 2021 among regional organizations across the country.
