In this article, I would like to take some time to learn how to re-register the password for issuing Kakao Pay certificate.

Currently, Kakao authentication is included in the pilot project for the expansion of digital signatures in the public sector.
To get a Kakao Pay certificate, you need the KakaoTalk app. Since most of them are users, I think it will be easy to get the issuance. Enter the KakaoTalk app.
After entering the KakaoTalk app, tap the three dots icon in the lower right corner, and when the More page appears, touch the Pay part. Instead of remittance, payment, and assets, you just need to click the Pay section.
You will be brought to the Pay screen and click the Service tab at the top.
Then, scroll down and touch the authentication part in the e-document.
When you come to the authentication page, click the Issue Certificate button.
Identity verification begins for safe use. First, enter your name, resident registration number, and mobile phone number and click Request Verification Number.
A pop-up window will appear to confirm the terms and conditions. There are no options and all are mandatory, so agree to all and click the Continue button.
Enter the verification code you received via text message.
Your phone has been verified, click OK.
Now you need to verify your account. Enter the account where you can check the deposit details and enter the name of the depositor in the transaction history.
After that, you will register the certificate password. It can be more than 8 digits, and you can enter the same repeatedly twice.
If you entered the password without any typos, you will see a pop-up window indicating that the certificate issuance has been completed.
You can check the newly created certificate in the Certificate Issued field. This is the end. The validity period is 2 years.

How to issue a Kakao Pay certificate
First, launch KakaoTalk and then touch the three ‘…’ dots at the bottom of the screen to enter the personal settings window.

I can’t remember, but I’ve already been issued a certificate. It was probably issued when I opened a Kakao Bank account, but of course I have not used it.

Then, you will go through the authentication process through mobile phone authentication first.
It is the same as the text authentication method we often use. After entering your name, resident registration number, and mobile phone number, enter the verification number in the message received and complete.
Once you have verified your identity through your mobile phone, you will need to verify your account, which is the next step.
Therefore, you must have internet banking or mobile banking in order to complete this step. Otherwise, please note that you will have to wait at the ATM machine.
If you enter your bank name and account number, 1 won is transferred to the account, and a unique four-letter name of the depositor is stamped. Use this depositor’s name as the verification code.
After verifying the code through the name of the depositor, the verification process is complete.

The Kakao Pay certificate is valid for one year from the date of issue, and you can also delete the certificate here.
