Gyeonggi Youth Gap Year Program Overview

▶Gyeonggi Youth Gap Year Purpose

– It is to provide opportunities for young people to explore what they want to do and overcome their fear of failure.

-Project specific support through competency training and mentoring and payment of project subsidies

 

*Project subsidy of up to KRW 5 million per person (maximum KRW 20 million for a team of four)

Qualification and method of application

 

▶Qualifications for application

-A young man between the ages of 19 and 34 who has a resident registration address in Gyeonggi-do as of the announcement date (born between January 1, 1988 and December 31, 2004)

 

-Available as a team or individual (no limit on team members)

 

 

 

<Additional points>

– How to apply additional points: No priority for each category, applied once per team without duplicate points

 

(Example) 1 person on the basic livelihood security recipient, 1 person from the next lowest class, and 1 child whose protection has ended → Additional points given per team only once

 

 

– How to deal with non-submission of documents (disqualification)

 

If the score of the 1st selection is affected, the 1st selection will be canceled and excluded from the 2nd round of interview.

Selection procedure and announcement of selected candidates

Through the first document review, twice as many candidates for interviews are selected, and the final candidates are selected in the order of high scores according to the results of the second interview.

◇ If the application items (number, project contents, etc.) are different between the team leader and team members, the application submitted by the team leader is deemed to have been applied.

◇ For the purpose of spreading the doctrines of a particular religion, or supporting a particular political party or candidate for elected office. Participants who participated for the purpose of support are excluded from selection.

 

 

◇ For all submitted documents, only documents issued after the announcement date are accepted.

 

 

◇ Submitted ideas or projects must be new projects that have not been awarded or introduced in other contests.

 

 

◇ In the course of the project, the legal responsibility for disputes arising from infringement or plagiarism of others’ copyrighted works shall be with the participant.

 

 

◇ Submitted documents will not be returned, and if plagiarism, false information (additional points, etc.) or other fraudulent methods are later discovered at the application stage, or if the support fund is used for a purpose other than the purpose after selection, the selection of the participant will be canceled, the support fund will be refunded, and Actions may be taken in accordance with relevant laws and regulations

Q. Can I apply even if I am working or attending school?

 

 

– Office workers and current students can participate, but they must secure enough time for the program to run smoothly, such as vacations and weekends.

 

 

Q. Is it possible to participate in overlapping with other projects?

 

 

– People who have participated in similar projects in the past can also participate. Those participating in or planning to participate in a project that overlaps with the ‘2023 Gyeonggi Youth Gap Year Program’ are excluded.

 

 

Q. Can those who were selected this year not be able to apply next year?

 

 

– This project is a one-year project, and the 2024 project plan and selection policy will be confirmed in 2024.

 

 

 

Q. Is there a limit on the number of people when forming a team?

 

– Team composition is recommended to consist of 4 people, but can consist of more or less than 4 people

 

 

 

Q. How should I select the desired area for the base campus?

 

 

– The base campus will be used as a place for collective education when the program is in progress, and the regional division is as follows. When applying as a team at the application stage, all team members do not have to select the same region, but after the final selection, each team will be able to use one base campus.
