Seat Upgrade Bonus

If the weight or number of checked baggage exceeds the fee, you can use mileage to pay the fee instead. It is a one-way basis and the mileage deduction amount varies depending on the region.

Fees that must be paid when boarding an airplane with a pet can also be paid using mileage. For domestic flights, 3,000 mileage is required, but for regular payments, you have to pay 30,000,000 won. Even if you calculate the mileage value by converting it, it is more effective to make regular payments rather than use mileage (based on the average mileage value of 15 won).
KAL Lounge
You can use your mileage to use lounge benefits operated by Korean Air. Domestic lounges require 2,000 miles, and international lounges require 4,000 miles.
Available routes include Gimpo, Daegu, Busan, and Jeju airports for domestic flights. International flights include Gimpo, Busan, Incheon, Nagoya, Tokyo (Narita), Osaka, Fukuoka, New York, Los Angeles, and Honolulu.

You can pay for non-property pediatric services with mileage, which are services that can be used when unaccompanied by a guardian. Domestic flights are not available, only international flights are available.
For non-property pediatric services, deductible mileage is set differently for each segment rather than for each segment. For children 5 to 11 years old and younger, 15,000 mileage is required, and for children 12 and older to 16 years old, 20,000 mileage is required.
2. Mileage Mall

SkyTeam operates a round-the-world award ticket service until March 31, 2023. By purchasing an award ticket, you can continue traveling in either east or west direction, crossing the Great Pyongyang and the Great Sea respectively.
