The first thing I set up after purchasing AirPods at the Apple Store online was to set Find My AirPods in the iPhone application ‘Find My’.
“Not just AirPods, but all Apple models can be found this way.”
If you use your AirPods to make calls and listen to music, insert them and take them out again and again, it’s easy to lose them.
Moreover, the recently released AirPods Pro are more expensive than low-cost smartphones, so you should be more careful not to lose them.
The Bluetooth earphones that came out in the past were large, so I noticed it right away if they fell out of my ears or were forgotten.

Check the status of your AirPods
First of all, you need to know if your AirPods are online/offline.
Simply put, the methods are divided according to whether the AirPod body has a battery or not.
In the case of online, Bluetooth communication with the mobile phone is activated, making it a little easier to find.
● Run ‘Find My’, the basic iPhone application -> Go down to the bottom and check the battery status of your device.
It’s easy to find again if you have a battery.
1. After accessing Find My, check the batteries of your Apple device and AirPods.
In my case, the AirPods are offline (battery discharged).
If you have a battery like this, the location will come out right away, but like the iPod, there is virtually no way to find it without a battery.
2. It is possible to play sound with or without a battery, but in the case of AirPods, the last location is not listed because it has been completely discharged for a long time.

In the same way as above, if the AirPods have enough battery, press ‘Play Sound’.
As mentioned before, it’s actually hard to find the last location or if the battery isn’t there.
● In the case of AirPods, be careful as it is very noisy when you put one AirPod in your ear and press ‘play sound’.
● If the battery has not been discharged for some time, the last connected location is displayed.
● If the battery is discharged for a long time, there is no way to find it because it is not located at all like my iPod.

If you don’t have a smartphone or the battery is running out, you can use your PC to find it the same as your smartphone.
However, in the case of a PC, it is not portable like a smartphone, so it can be inconvenient to find it.
● Access the Find My iPhone site https://www.icloud.com/find/ All devices -> AirPods -> Play sound
● It is basically the same as the way to find on a smartphone, and there is no way to find if the area is not displayed on the map.
The Apple site is as intuitive as any Apple device.
1. After accessing the site, click the Apple product you are looking for.
Currently, my AirPods have been discharged for a long time, so they are not positioned at all.
2. If there is a battery or the last contact location is confirmed, it will appear on the map, but if there is no battery at all, press play sound as a last resort.
The MacBook has a battery, so it shows the location accurately.
3. Except for AirPods, all Apple devices can be pre-locked to prevent others from using them.
