I haven’t been abroad for a long time, so I’m writing this down for future reference. Hehe It is good to take cash, two debit cards, and a credit card when traveling abroad, so I got two new ones for overseas use. 우리카드 해외결제 차단 해제
Hanabiba X Check Card
This is the debit card that everyone recommends when going abroad.
There are no overseas ATM fees, so it is widely used. In Malta, I took note of the fact that there is almost no fee when withdrawing from BOV during business hours on weekdays.
As it is a limit account, domestic withdrawals are 300,000 won per day, but there are no restrictions on overseas withdrawals. 이베이스매뉴얼
* Correction of overseas withdrawal limit – The counter staff told me this, but I found out that there was a limit. The limits are as follows.

Travel Wallet Travel Pay
After reading an article comparing Shinhan Global Multi Card and TravelPay, I was issued TravelPay. Both are very neat as they are prepaid in local currency and used.
If you install an app called Travel Wallet and apply for issuance, the physical card will be delivered in about 4 business days.
It seems that there is no separate bank, and like Toss, it is only used online.
– Benefits
– How to use
Press “Recharge” in the app, select a currency, and withdraw directly from the withdrawal account to recharge. You can view the exchange rate that fluctuates at every point and recharge it at any time.
A physical card, like Samsung Pay, is a wireless payment method that allows you to pay by simply touching the card.
Block all credit/debit card DCC (foreign won payment)
When making overseas payments or withdrawing from ATMs, the bank charges a lot of fees.
DCC stands for overseas won payment, and since it costs a lot of fees, it is advantageous to pay in local currency whether direct purchase or overseas local payment.
So I blocked DCC for all of us, Hana, and Lotte Card.
You can block it in the card company app or customer center. (This is a card app, not a banking app)

– Hana Card
– Woori Card
exchange
Toss app users can use the currency exchange service at the bottom of the app menu.
Apply for a 100% preferential exchange at Toss and pick it up at a Hana Bank branch. You can’t carry cash with you, so it’s a good idea to do it in advance.
App Banking, Internet Banking
While you are abroad, you may need to transfer your account in Korea, such as house maintenance fees.
Each bank calls the customer center and goes abroad to check if a domestic account transfer is possible.
It is said that it is best to issue a joint certificate just in case.
I set up automatic debit for all my utility bills, and made a reservation for remittance for housekeeping expenses.
